Before installation of the center Air Bag sensor assembly, team members must use 3 bolts although they should get a new assembly if the component experiences any impact or if it demonstrates signs of damage. The SRS wiring system must be placed in a way that avoids interference with other vehicle components and pinched positions. Check that the installation area is free from looseness by measuring the torque of 17.5 Nm (179 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf) on each of the three bolts. Connect the negative battery cable with a torque of 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf) after reconnecting a cable and perform initialization for systems that require it before inspecting the SRS warning light for proper operation.
