First you should disconnect the cable from the negative terminal then allow 90 seconds before proceeding to avoid Air Bag deployment. Start with Steering Wheel Cover Lower No.3 then switch to Lower No.2 before completing with the removal of Steering Pad. The first step requires you to take out the Steering Wheel Assembly followed by Steering Column Cover Lower until you reach the last step of removing the Steering Column Cover. The removal process of Clock Spring demands protective handling towards the Air Bag wire harness during Air Bag connector manipulation when disconnecting wire connectors from the cable. Use the tool to detach three claws which will enable clock spring removal. The removal process requires the removal of the Steering Angle Sensor when vehicles include VSC.
