The reassembly of a 2UZ-FE starter motor requires initial application of grease on the steel ball and return spring as well as clutch rollers and starter idler pinions. The steel ball and new O-ring should then be installed into the starter housing. Supply the magnet starter switch hole with the return spring before adding the starter clutch sub-assembly and idler gear together with the bearing. Install two screws through the starter housing to the magnet switch assembly with 9.3 Nm (95 kgf-cm, 82 in-lbf) torque. Position the brush holder onto the starter yoke assembly after aligning its claw with the claw groove of the same assembly. Thread the brush spring into the magnet starter through a screwdriver then place the brush into the holder while connecting four brushes that require positive (+) lead wires to avoid ground contact. Secure the starter yoke groove with an O-ring followed by installation of two new O-rings and end cover screws that require torque of 3.8 Nm (39 kgf-cm, 34 in-lbf). Install a fresh O-ring to the first groove on the starter yoke assembly then combine the protrusion with the magnetic switch's groove before securing it through two bolts that require 9.3 Nm (95 kgf-cm, 82 in-lbf) torques. You must attach the C wire terminal to its nut while applying 5.9 Nm of torque (60 kgf-cm and 52 in-lbf).
