How to remove the rear speed sensor on 2008 Scion xD?

The first step to remove the rear speed sensor involves separating the rear wheel until it becomes accessible for removal of the rear brake drum sub-assembly. The first step demands disconnecting the speed sensor wire followed by removal of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. Mount the rear axle hub and bearing assembly between aluminum plates inside a vice for safety purposes when you need to check its condition. Remove the 2 pins of Special Service Tool: 09520-00040 by striking them with a pin punch and hammer during the removal process of the speed sensor from the rear axle hub using Special Service Tool: 09520-00031 and 2 bolts (90101-12007). The sensor detaches from Special Service Tool: 09521-00010. The speed sensor needs to be pulled off straight without touching the rotor while any rotor damage or deformation requires the replacement of the entire rear axle hub and bearing assembly. Deteriorate both the speed sensor and rear axle hub contact points and maintain a foreign matter-free sensor rotor surface.
