First, separate all components consisting of the rear door armrest base upper panel, inside handle bezel, trim board sub-assembly, glass inner Weather Strip, trim bracket, service hole cover, check assembly, Weather Strip, and belt moulding assembly. The technician should start by removing the rear door glass run followed by the window division bar sub-assembly, quarter window Weather Strip and then the glass sub-assembly together with the window regulator sub-assembly. The final step for removing the rear door lock requires using a "TORX" socket wrench T30 to remove its three screws followed by pulling the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame while lowering the door lock. The door lock wire harness needs its seal disconnected before protecting tape wraps around a screwdriver tip to release the claw for opening the cover. The screwdriver helps remove the cable of the rear door lock remote control followed by opening the cover by taking out the three claws before removing the rear door inside locking cable.
