2007 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the front wheel speed sensor on 2007 Toyota Sienna?
A: You should begin the front wheel speed sensor service by removing both the front wheel along with the left-hand side front fender liner. It begins with speed sensor connector disconnection followed by removing the sensor harness from the body while removing the clamp also. Begin by removing the two clamp bolts that hold the sensor harness and clamp against both body components and the shock absorber. After that, extract the bolt which anchors the front speed sensor from the left-hand side. You must maintain the sensor tip during these actions. The left-hand side front speed sensor should be mounted with the bolt tightened to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf.cm, 71 in. lbs.) and the sensor tip maintained in position. Secure both sensor harness clamps using bolts A and B on the body and shock absorber system at 8.0 Nm (82 kgf.cm, 71 in. lbs.) torque for Bolt A and 19 Nm (192 kgf.cm, 14 ft. lbs.) torque for Bolt B with sensitivity to prevent sensor wire twisting. Begin by attaching the clamp to the knuckle before installing both the sensor harness and clamp to the body and then reconnecting the speed sensor connector. After replacing the left-front fender liner position the front wheel correctly by tightening it with 103 Nm (1,050 kgf.cm) torque while you verify the ABS speed sensor output signal.
