    Q:
How to service and repair the Transmission Speed Sensor on Toyota Sienna? Posted by Customer
    A:
The repair process of the Transmission Speed Sensor starts with battery removal along with the air cleaner assembly. The NT speed sensor installation includes disconnecting its connector followed by removing both the bolt and the speed sensor. Remove the bolt and speed sensor from the NC sensor while also disconnecting its speed sensor connector. Measure the resistance of the NT sensor after you disconnect its connector from the transaxle while following the values for both Aisin and Toyota Made sensors. Repetition of this procedure should take place with the NC sensor. Coat the O-ring of the NC sensor with ATF and then install the speed sensor with its bolt securing an 11 Nm (115 kg-cm, 8 ft. lbs.) torque while using only sensors from the same manufacturer. Connect the speed sensor connector before you perform the installation procedure of the NT sensor. As a final step reinstall the air cleaner assembly followed by the battery.
