    A: The first action to address and work on the parking brake cable comprises removing the rear console box. Start by unfastening the lock nut followed by the No. 1 wire adjusting nut and then disconnect the three cable ends until the parking brake equalizer comes off. You must start by removing the rear wheel together with the parking brake cable through the steps of removing the cable clamp (labelled A) and the casing cap bolt (labelled B) as well as the clamp bolts (marked C, D, E, F) from the body, crossmember, rear suspension crossmember, and trailing arm. The parking brake cable designing process involves detaching it from the lever before removing the bolt to remove it from the backing plate. After cable installation connect it between the backing plate and parking brake shoe lever while passing it through the backing plate before securing with a bolt tightened to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs. torque). Fasten the clamp with bolt (labeled F) to the trailing arm while tightening the bolt to 6.0 Nm then attach the clamp and clamp bolt (labeled E) between the rear suspension crossmember by torquing the bolt to 6.0 Nm. Secure the clamp and clamp bolt (D) on the crossmember then the clamp and clamp bolt (C) on the body while performing a final step which involves attaching the casing cap and casing cap bolt (B) to the body and tightening both to 6.0 Nm. The body needs a secure cable clamp (label A) installation before reattaching three cable ends to the equalizer then reinstalling the rear wheel at 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.) torque while adjusting the parking brake lever travel and placing back the rear console box.
