2007 Toyota Camry Brake Line Parts Q&A
Q: How to service and repair the front Brake Line on 2007 Toyota Camry?
A: The process of front brake flexible hose maintenance requires first removal of the front wheel and brake fluid draining as a starting point. Detach the front brake flexible hose by removing its clip while using Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 to unbolt the brake tube under wrench pressure, maintaining a straight brake tube position for foreign matter prevention. Separate the front brake flexible hose along with the speed sensor from the shock absorber when you remove the bolt. Follow this step with taking out the union bolt and front brake flexible hose and gasket. To mount the parts begin by uniting the front brake flexible hose with the union bolt and new gasket while torqueing at 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 21 ft. lbs.). The bolt transmits the front flexible hose together with the speed sensor to the shock absorber where the bracket points externally on the vehicle's exterior and receives 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) torque. Connect the brake tube to the front brake flexible hose through Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 while using a wrench to maintain hose grip during a torque application of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.) without tool use or 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.) with tool use. This operation requires the tool to align parallel to the torque wrench and a torque wrench with a 300 mm (11.81 inch) fulcrum length. After installing the front brake flexible hose using a new clip the installation should include placement of the identification mark towards the outside of the vehicle and maintaining rotational control of the hose. Proceed to fill the brake fluid reservoir before bleeding the master cylinder then the brake line and brake actuator assembly while VSC is active and evaluate the brake fluid amount and test for leaks before reinstalling the front wheel with 103 Nm torque (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.).
