Flex Hose, Rear Driver Side

The installation requires attaching the rear brake flexible hose to its union bolt using a new gasket at 33 Nm torque (337 kgf-cm or 24 ft-lbf). Begin by installing the hose with its new clip where the identification mark faces outward from the vehicle and avoid twisting the hose before pushing the clip to its maximum extent. The brake line installation on the rear brake flexible hose requires Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 with a wrench to achieve proper torque of 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) or 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) if the tool is not used. Avoid bending the brake line as well as damage to prevent foreign objects from getting into the brake line near the connection points. A torque wrench with a 250 mm (9.84 in.) fulcrum should be used while maintaining the torque value effective when the Special Service Tool maintains parallel alignment with the torque wrench. Screw the rear flexible hose to the shock absorber through a bolt before tightening it to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). The procedure requires brake fluid reservoir filling up then moving on to brake line and brake actuator assembly bleeding (if equipped with VSC and TMC Made) followed by reservoir brake fluid level verification and leak checking and ending with rear wheel installation at 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf) torque.

Hold the rear brake flexible hose with a wrench, ensuring not to bend or damage the brake line and preventing any foreign matter from entering the brake tube.

Special Service Tool: 09023-00101.

Install the front wheel with a torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76ft-lbf).

Connect it with the union bolt and a new gasket, ensuring a torque of 33 Nm (337 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf).

Remove the 2 ABS motor relays with the power switch off.
