The first step to remove FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM requires the removal of RH and LH front wheels. The first step involves removing the RH and LH tie rod end cotter pins and nuts followed by disconnecting the tie rod ends from the lower ball joint by utilizing Special Service Tool: 09610-20012. Perform this procedure on the second side. In the next step, you need to remove the power steering gear set bolts along with nuts and disconnect the stabilizer bar link from the lower suspension arm by removing the nut; however, if the ball joint turns with the nut then secure the stud with a hexagon wrench. To separate the shock absorber from the lower suspension arm disconnect the lower side set nut and washer while keeping the bolt in place and protect the drive shaft boot with vinyl tape. Lower the suspension arm to dislodge the bolt after which you can sever the shock absorber. The removal of the lower ball joint from the lower suspension arm requires disconnecting the cotter pin and nut followed by using Special Service Tool: 09628-62011 to accomplish the lower ball joint disconnection. Begin by applying matchmarks to the front and rear cam plate and chassis frame then remove the 2 cam plates, bolts, cams along with lower suspension arm by pushing the power steering gear slightly back keeping an eye on power steering gear tubes.
