2006 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the power steering pump on 2006 Toyota Sienna?
A: Service and repair of the power steering pump starts with taking off the front wheel from the right-hand side and draining power steering fluid. Start service of the power steering pump by first dismantling the right front fender apron seal and secondly disconnecting oil reservoir to pump hose No.1 using clip removal while keeping fluid from contacting the V belt. Unscrew the power steering oil pressure switch at the union bolt while disconnecting its connector but avoid letting it drop because any damage requires a replacement. Use a spanner (24 mm) to stabilize the pressure port union during removal of its bolt and gasket and after that disable the pressure feed tube assembly. To remove the vane pump V belt begin by loosening two bolts then remove the vane pump assembly through the process of unscrewing its securing bolts.
