How to replace the shock absorber assembly on the rear left side on 2005 Toyota Tacoma?

The first task for SHOCK ABSORBER ASSY REAR LH replacement involves removing the rear wheel. Start by suspending the rear axle housing and remove the bolt together with the nut and washer. Separate the shock absorber from the rear spring seat in 2WD systems and do the same operation for the 4WD and Pre Runner vehicles using the rear axle housing. Begin by removing the nut followed by 3 cushion retainers along with cushion No.1 and cushion No.3 and the shock absorber from the assembly. To evaluate the shock absorber quality squeeze and stretch the rod to detect irregular resistance or noises; procured a new unit when problems exist. For shock absorber installation use 3 cushion retainers along with a new nut and secured them by bolt, nut, and washer before tightening the nut to 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.). Install the rear wheel again while applying torque force of 113 Nm (1,152 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.). Lower the vehicle while stabilizing the suspension by performing multiple bouncing motions and tight it securely with the shock absorber nut set to 100 Nm (1,020 kgf-cm, 74 ft. lbs.).
