How to service and repair the heater core on 2005 Scion xB?

In order to maintain and fix the heater core, empty the refrigerant out of the system with special equipment. Disassemble different hoses and parts, heater control knob and instrument panel. Take off the heater radiator assembly and air duct assembly. Install components again, load the fridge with refrigerant, and test it.
