    A: Services and repairs on the compressor clutch start with complete disassembly. Start by employing Special Service Tool: 07112-76060 while using a socket wrench to loosen the shaft bolt until it reaches 13.2 Nm (135 kg.cm, 9 ft.lb). Use Special Service Tool: 07112-66040 to assemble the pressure plate while using both 07112-66040 and 07112-76060 and a socket wrench to uninstall the pressure plate followed by shims removal. The snap ring removal requires Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 according to the instructions while paying attention to the proper orientation of the beveled side for reinstallation. Use a plastic hammer to gently strike the rotor from the shaft but keep the pulley free of damage. Special Service Tool: 07114-84020 allows the operator to unlock the snap ring by facing the beveled side upward. The stator can then be extracted. The process of rebuilding requires performing steps in exactly the opposite sequence of disassembly action. To evaluate magnetic clutch clearance set the dial indicator on the pressure plate and apply the positive (+) battery terminal to the magnetic clutch lead wire and verify pressure plate to rotor spacing while connecting the negative (-) terminal. Measurement of clearance between pressure plate and rotor should be 0.5 plus or minus 0.15 mm (0.020 plus or minus 0.0059 in.), using shims of 0.1 mm (0.004 in.), 0.3 mm (0.012 in.), or 0.5 mm (0.020 in.) to reach standard clearance when needed.
