Service and repair operations of the Rear Heater Control Assembly must start with the removal of the rear console end panel. Use the heater control dial to set it at "MAX. WARM" position First set the heater dial to the "MAX. WARM" position before you remove the 3 screws that attach the heater control assembly then disconnect its connector and control cable. Apply the heater control cable to start with by positioning the dial at "MAX. WARM" and securing the clamp followed by gentle pull on the outer cable according to direction indications. Reinstall the heater control assembly into the rear console box using the 3 screws after connector connection with its assembly. End the procedure by reinstalling the rear console end panel.
