For throttle body assembly installation start by placing an
Intake Manifold gasket after securing the fuel tube bracket with one bolt. Use 4 bolts to join the throttle body assembly along with its fuel tube bracket while torquing them to 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). Complete the installation by joining first the
Throttle Position Sensor and control motor connector then the fuel tube to its clamp before connecting the No. 2 water by-pass hose to the throttle body. Connect the water by-pass hose between the throttle body and its matching port. Complete the installation of the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and perform engine coolant addition before checking for coolant oil leaks. Secure the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly through the alignment of its three grommets to the corresponding three pins followed by pressing to install. Technical initialization requires a 60-second downtime when the vehicle is disconnected from both the ETCS fuse and the EFI fuse. Turn the
Ignition Switch to ON but avoid pushing the accelerator pedal because you will need to restart the previous procedures. Perform a DTC clear procedure through the DLC3 interface after connecting the Techstream. The engine start procedure requires the MIL to stay dark while you confirm the idle speed is aligned with limits during the engine warmup phase when all accessories are disabled and the transmission is in N or P position. Then move to Powertrain / Engine and ETC / Data List / All Data / Throttle Sensor Position to verify a value above 60% while completely pressing the accelerator pedal. Performing another test drive will conclude the process to verify proper functionality.
