How to service and repair the fuel tank on Toyota RAV4?

When repairing or servicing the fuel tank start by taking away the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly then the fuel tank vent tube set plate and finally the fuel suction with pump assembly. Separate the tube from the fuel tube clamps before taking off the 4 tube clamps and the 7 fuel tank cushions from the fuel tank. The assembly starts by unfastening the five screws which hold the fuel sender gauge unit in position. The reassembly process requires installation of the fuel sender gauge assembly with 5 screws secured at 1.5 N.m (15 kgf.cm, 13 in.lbf). You shall install seven new fuel tank cushions before fitting the four tube clamps to the fuel tank. You must rejoin the 4 clips on the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly and afterward connect the fuel suction with pump assembly, the fuel tank vent tube set plate, and ultimately the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly.
