Establish your installation of the steering wheel through screwing the 2 steering wheel pad attaching members into the lower steering wheel boss cover. The 2 claws should be used to place the lower steering wheel boss cover onto the steering wheel sub-assembly followed by screw installation. The main
Cruise Control Switch must be installed when the system is present. The preparation of steering pad switch assembly becomes necessary only for vehicles utilizing a navigation system. Install the steering pad switch LH whenever the vehicle comes with this feature. The No. 1 steering wheel ornament should be fastened onto the steering wheel sub-assembly through the engagement of two pins before securing with a screw. Make the wheels directly forward facing before you modify the spiral cable length. To install the steering wheel assembly first set the matchmarks between the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft then install the set nut before torquing it to 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf) and connecting the spiral cable sub-assembly connectors. All necessary steps include installing the steering pad followed by the lower coverage of No. 3 and No. 2 steering wheel. Check the steering wheel center before connecting the cable to the negative terminal along with a steering pad inspection. Verify that SRS warning light operates properly as the last step of the procedure.
