To service the spark plugs on a 2GR-FE engine, remove the engine under cover, drain coolant, and take off the V-bank cover. Remove wiper assemblies, cowl top ventilator, and ignition components. Finally, disconnect the ignition coil and remove the 6 spark plugs.

How to install the spark plugs and ignition coil assemblies on Toyota Highlander?

Install the 4 spark plugs for the 1AR-FE ignition system using a spark plug wrench at 25 Nm. Then, secure the 4 ignition coil assemblies with bolts at 10 Nm. Finally, connect the ignition coil assembly connectors and install the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
