Toyota Corolla TPMS Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the TPMS Sensor on Toyota Corolla?
A: The first step to fix the Tire Pressure Monitoring System requires front and rear wheel removal. Terminating the air stream in the tire starts with removing the valve handle followed by unscrewing the nut that holds the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter allowing each part to fall inside the tire. The removed valve core and cap must be saved for later application. The tire remover shoe's width should be set to 10 to 20 mm (0.394 to 0.787 inches) while using it to detach the bead because contact with the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter should be avoided. Remove the upper bead before extracting the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter from the tire space while separating the lower bead. It is necessary to install new grommets together with a washer and nut when you replace the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter.
