The first step to remove the antenna cable requires disconnecting it from the negative battery terminal followed by a minimum 90-second wait to disable SRS system operation. The first step involves taking out the lower instrument panel finish panel LH, lower instrument panel finish panel RH, instrument panel finish panel end LH, instrument panel finish panel end RH, center instrument panel register assembly, instrument cluster finish panel assembly, combination meter assembly, front pillar garnish LH (with or without curtain shield Air Bag), front pillar garnish RH (with or without curtain shield Air Bag), and the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly. Workers must disconnect the front door opening trim Weather Strip LH then remove the glove compartment door assembly followed by removing the No. 1 instrument panel box door sub-assembly and disconnecting the front door opening trim Weather Strip RH to detach the instrument panel wire assembly until the upper instrument panel sub-assembly is removed. The radio receiver with bracket (without navigation system) can be removed together with its bracket while systems with navigation need both the radio receiver with bracket and the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly. Completion of removing the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly requires disconnecting the connector and unclamping the clamp while uninstalling the bolt before disconnecting the connector for a final time and unclipping the five clamps.
