Start the procedure to remove the navigation antenna by setting the front wheels in a straight position then disconnect the negative battery cable for 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag activation. Proceed with removing the lower No. 3
Steering Wheel cover followed by the lower No. 2 steering wheel cover together with the steering pad before disassembly of the steering wheel assembly. The service starts with separating both TMC and TMMK vehicles front door scuff plate LH while removing the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH and lower instrument panel finish panel LH. The procedure begins with the removal of the steering column cover for both TMC and TMMK produced vehicles and proceeds with taking out the turn signal switch assembly with spiral cable sub-assembly and then the No. 1 instrument panel sub-assembly and finally the lower instrument panel finish panel for vehicles with or without Smart Key System. First remove the instrument cluster finish No.1 panel then proceed to take out the combination meter assembly for both TMC and TMMK made vehicles followed by front door scuff plate RH and cowl side trim sub-assembly RH and instrument panel No. 2 under cover sub-assembly. Detach the lower instrument panel sub-assembly which works for both TMC and TMMK made vehicles and separate shift lever knob sub-assembly that functions for both automatic and manual transaxles as well as No. 1 and No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnishes. The procedure requires the removal of floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly for automatic transaxles and both upper console panels and upper console rear panel sub-assemblies between automatic and manual transaxles. Extract both TMC and TMMK upper console sub-assemblies and also remove this component alongside the instrument panel No. 2 register assembly, navigation receiver with heater control panel assembly, console box pocket, console box carpet, console box and accessories for both TMC and TMMK vehicles. All vehicles containing both TMC and TMMK made components must receive removal of No. 2 and No. 1 console box insert fronts as well as front pillar garnish LH, instrument panel No. 1 register assembly and instrument panel No. 1 speaker panel sub-assembly, front No. 2 speaker assembly for LH side, front pillar garnish RH, instrument panel No. 3 register assembly and instrument panel No. 2 speaker panel sub-assembly. For both TMC and TMMK products one must remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly for RH side as well as the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish along with the instrument panel safety pad assembly. The service process requires removal of the defroster nozzle ducts Numbers 1 and 2 from both TMC and TMMK made vehicles as well as defroster nozzle assemblies for vehicles made by TMC and TMMK. The last step in the operation consists of removing the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 heater to register ducts for both TMC and TMMK made vehicles followed by disengaging 3 clamps and using 2 screws to remove the navigation antenna assembly.
