The first step to replace the Navigation Antenna Assembly requires you to remove the Instrument Panel Safety Pad Sub-Assembly with Passenger Air Bag Assembly according to proper procedures. The technicians should first release the three clamps followed by the removal of two screws for detaching the Navigation Antenna Assembly. The final steps involve reattaching the Instrument Panel Safety Pad Sub-Assembly with Passenger Air Bag Assembly according to its installation procedures.

The procedure starts by taking off the glove compartment door assembly to access the front pillar garnish RH going further to the instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly No.2. The first step involves removal of the pull top antenna pole sub-assembly together with the antenna ornament. Disconnect the connector along with removing the bolt from the pillar antenna pole sub-assembly. A string should be tied to the cable tip of the pillar antenna pole sub-assembly before removing its nut and the assembly.

The first task for Pillar Antenna Pole Sub-Assy replacement consists of glove compartment door removal followed by right-front pillar garnish removal and instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly No. 2 removal. The subsequent step is to remove both the pull top antenna pole sub-assembly and the antenna ornament from the vehicle. Proceed to disconnect the connector and eliminate the bolt from the pillar antenna pole sub-assembly. Follow by tying a string to the top of the pillar antenna pole sub-assembly cable, remove the nut and the assembly.

One must start by separating the instrument panel sub-assembly with passenger Air Bag assembly before performing navigation antenna assembly replacement. The detachment of the navigation antenna assembly begins by removing the 3 clamps and the 2 screws. The instrument panel sub-assembly and its passenger Air Bag assembly must be reinstalled during the last step of the process.

You need to begin the radio antenna pole service by rotatating the pull top antenna pole sub-assembly counterclockwise for removal. The pull top antenna pole sub-assembly should be installed by turning it in a clockwise direction.

The first step in antenna removal includes disconnecting the negative terminal battery cable while letting the navigation system record data and settings for at least ninety seconds while the ignition switch remains off. Proceed with removing the instrument panel sub-assembly according to preferred procedures for column shift vehicles while using the instrument panel safety pad removal method for both column and floor shift models. The service technician needs to remove the No. 1 and No. 2 heater to register ducts followed by the removal of the No. 2 and No. 1 side defroster nozzle ducts. You should then take off the defroster nozzle assembly. Destroy the clamp before removing the navigation antenna assembly through its securing 2 screws.

The navigation antenna assembly requires installation by first tightening the 2 screws that secure the antenna before adding the clamp. Move onto the defroster nozzle assembly installation after which attach the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct then the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct. You must now install the No. 1 heater followed by the No. 2 heater to register duct. Install the instrument panel sub-assembly by matching it to the column shift type configuration while using the appropriate installation process for floor shift type vehicles. Before battery terminal connection finish by attaching the cable to the negative terminal because certain systems need initialization steps after re-attachment of the cable.

First, remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly with the passenger airbag assembly.

Install the navigation receiver assembly with bracket, heater control and accessory assembly for Manual Air Conditioning System, and air conditioning control assembly for Automatic Air Conditioning System.

Disengage the 3 clamps and remove the 2 screws.

Remove the roof headlining assembly.

Remove the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly, front No. 2 speaker assembly (for both LH and RH), and No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait for 90 seconds to prevent airbag deployment.

Then, install the instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly No.2 and the instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

Remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly, floor shift position indicator housing assembly, and instrument cluster finish panel assembly center.

Finally, reinstall the instrument panel sub-assembly with the passenger airbag assembly.

Connect the connector.

Remove the 2 clips and pull it rearward.

Remove the defroster nozzle assembly and the navigation antenna assembly by detaching the clamp and removing the 2 screws.

Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly.

Install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
