How to install the rear Sway Bars on Toyota 4Runner?

You must start by fitting the two sway bar bushes onto the Sway Bars while placing the sway bar bush towards the inside of the Sway Bars stopper. Use 4 bolts to attach the Sway Bars with its 2 sway bar brackets while torquing them to 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf). Starting with the LH side sway bar link installation use the nut then torque it to 70 Nm (714 kgf-cm, 52 ft-lbf) except in cases where the ball joint rotates with the nut require a 6 mm hexagon wrench to stabilize the stud. The procedure requires attaching the retainers followed by the cushion to the sway bar link while using a wrench to hold the link before installing the nut and link assembly while torquing to 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf). When removing the rear sway bar link assembly you must use the same methods that were applied for the right-hand side. The last step involves putting on the rear wheel before torquing it to 112 Nm (1,137 kgf-cm, 83 ft-lbf).

How to remove the front Sway Bars on Toyota 4Runner?

The first step to remove the front Sway Bars includes disassembling the front disc wheel. To detach the front sway bar link assembly LH the technician must remove two nuts while using a hexagon (6 mm) wrench for stud stabilization in case the ball joint rotates with one of the nuts. Perform the same step to take off the front sway bar link assembly from the right-hand side. The front sway bar bracket No. 2 LH can be removed after removing its two bolts. The front sway bar bracket No. 1 RH requires the same procedure already used for the LH side. The removal sequence requires detachment of the 2 front sway bar bush No. 1. To finish the process remove the Sway Bars front.
