How to install the hood cable assembly and related components on Scion xB?

Before installation of the hood cable assembly you must feed it into the engine compartment through the upper radiator support before attaching clamps according to illustrations. To proceed with installation secure the hood lock control lever sub-assembly while establishing a connection with the hood cable. The hood lock assembly requires application of MP grease to sliding segments before receiving the hood cable for bolt installation with 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) torque value. Perform needed adjustments to the hood sub-assembly during inspection. Two bolts should be installed into the water hose clamp bracket before tightening them to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). The radiator cover requires 5 clips for installation. Install the LH front fender liner by fitment of 3 new grommets, 8 clips and 4 screws and the pin hold clip. Begin by placing the front side mudguard LH through its new grommet then fasten it with 2 screws followed by attaching the front wheel opening extension pad LH through 2 screws before secure the front wheel.
