    A: The first step to remove the Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly requires you to remove both wheels and unscrew the 2 screws from the front wheel opening extension pad LH. The removal of front side mudguard starts with extracting two screws and grommets from the assembly. The front fender liner requires turning its pin hold clip 90 degrees with a screwdriver to begin removal of its 8 clips and 4 screws and finally its three grommets. Replacing the grommet becomes essential for new installation because the removal process will break it. Next you should take out the five clips to detach the radiator cover. You must remove the water hose clamp bracket through a process of unscrewing its 2 bolts. To remove the hood lock assembly first disconnect the hood cable after which disconnect the 3 bolts that fasten it to the assembly. The second step requires disconnecting the hood cable one more time before proceeding to remove the hood lock control lever. A screwdriver with taped tip allows for disconnecting clamps before removing the cable from its engine compartment location.
