Before extracting the antenna cord from the roof headlining cutout users must remove ten pieces of tape for the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.
- Q: How to install the No. 2 antenna cable sub-assembly with and without a sliding roof on Scion xB?A:You should start the process of installing the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly by connecting it to the roof headlining through markings tapes which need securement by 3 new tape pieces. Attach the antenna cord to the cutout of the headliner while aligning it with the markings through the use of 6 new tapes before installing the rest of the cord using a new piece of tape. When installing with the sliding roof operate twice to secure the antenna cord with 3 new tape pieces, insert the cable into the cutout and align it using 8 new tapes before completing installation with one new tape piece. Proceed by installing the antenna cord sub-assembly through the process of securing 4 clamps and connecting 2 connectors and installing a bolt with 8.4 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf) torque. Proceed by installing the roof headlining and connect the cable to the negative battery terminal with 5.4 Nm torque (55 kgf-cm / 48 in-lbf). Check that the SRS warning light operates correctly as the last step of the installation process.
