How to remove the Cruise Control Switch on Scion xD?

To disconnect the cruise control main switch, detach the negative battery terminal then wait 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag deployment. Next, take out the steering pad, unscrew the cruise control switch connector, strip out the two screws and lastly, strip out the cruise control main switch.
