2010 Toyota Yaris Speed Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to remove the speed sensor from the U340E automatic transaxle on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: The first step in removing the speed sensor from U340E automatic transaxle involves removing the front wiper arm head cap. The following step calls for the removal of both left and right front wiper arm and blade assemblies. The hatchback requires hood to cowl top seal removal but the sedan needs both cowl side ventilator sub-assemblies to be taken off from the left and right sides. Remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly before proceeding to remove the left cowl top ventilator louver from the hatchback model. The following procedure assists in taking away the front wiper motor and link when combined with the hatchback cowl to register duct sub-assembly removal or the sedan requires front air shutter seal removal. Begin by removing the outer cowl top panel after which you should take out the battery and battery tray. Take out the battery carrier at this stage of the procedure. First disconnect the speedometer sensor connector before removing the bolt and speedometer sensor itself and finishing with removal of clip and driven gear from the sensor followed by removal of the O-ring attached to the sensor.
