2010 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Remove the Yaw Sensor in TMC Made Vehicles on 2010 Toyota Camry?
A: The first step to uninstall the Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor for TMC Made vehicles requires disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Start by removing the sub-assembly of the shift lever knob and continue by taking out the finish panel garnishes from both No. 1 and No. 2 instrument cluster. The technician must remove the floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly combined with both left and right front door scuff plates and cowl side trim sub-assemblies. The technician should remove the lower instrument panel finish panel LH followed by instrument panel No. 2 under cover sub-assembly then lower instrument panel sub-assembly. The next steps include taking out successively the upper console rear panel sub-assembly followed by the upper console panel sub-assembly and the console box pocket and finally the console box carpet and the console box assembly. The last operations require removal of the No. 1 console box duct as well as the No. 1 and No. 2 console box insert fronts. Ending this procedure depends on cable disconnecting from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor followed by unbolting the two fasteners which keep the sensor attached to the bracket.
