2010 Toyota Camry Brake Line Parts Q&A
Q: How to install the front Brake Line on 2010 Toyota Camry?
A: The installation of the front brake flexible hose requires the union bolt connection with a new gasket where the torque reaches 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf). The shock absorber installation requires a bolt connection between the front flexible hose and speed sensor requiring 19 Nm torque (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) while maintaining the bracket on the exterior side of the vehicle. To install the front brake flexible hose connect it with a union bolt that requires a gasket; apply torque using Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 and holding the hose with a wrench for a torque of 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). Without the tool, torque to 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf). Use a torque wrench with a 250 mm (9.84 in.) fulcrum length to avoid brake line bending and in order to prevent breakdowns by making sure the tool maintains parallel alignment with the wrench during torque application. Fits the front brake flexible hose equipped with a new clip by positioning its identification mark toward the outside of the vehicle before securing the clip firmly with minimum hose twisting. Brake fluid should be added to the reservoir followed by disabling brake control then proceeding to bleed the front brake system before canceling the disablement of brake control. Before proceeding with accumulator pressure zero down and brake fluid leak inspection the technician should clear the brake control system DTC and check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. Front wheel torque must be 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).
