  A: A transmission control cable assembly for the C50 MANUAL TRANSAXLE can be installed by securing its control cable with 3 nuts at 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). New clips should be installed to the control cable assembly bracket before securing the assembly with 2 washers and 2 clips. Place the assembly onto the shift lever retainer with the cable outer protruding upward along with its lock extending past portion A. First connect the control shift cable to the shift lever and the control select cable to the shift lever through the clip which must be positioned correctly with the adjusting mechanism lock installed on the left side of the vehicle.
