- Q: How to remove the ignition switch assembly on 2010 Scion xD?A: There are three steps to extract the 2ZR-FE starting system ignition switch assembly beginning with removing the steering column cover using the right-wheel turn to reveal and unscrew one fastener followed by the left-wheel turn to remove another fastener followed by removal of the final fastener to eliminate the steering column cover. Before removal disconnect the connector after releasing two claws which hold in the ignition switch assembly.
