The first step requires the removal of the upper console panel sub-assembly together with console box carpet and console box assembly. The console box mounting bracket can be removed by taking out its 5 bolts. The next task requires uninstallation of the parking brake lever sub-assembly. The same method used to disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake equalizer should be applied to remove the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.
