- Q: How to replace the A/C Switch in the control assembly on 2010 Scion xB?A: The first step to remove and replace the control assembly is to link the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly through its 2 engaging claws. Associate the No. 2 heater control cable sub-assembly into position using its available 2 claws. The air conditioning panel assembly installation process requires connecting the 3 connectors and clamp followed by securing the panel with 3 clips and 2 claws. Proceed with installation of the instrument cluster finish center lower panel and shift lever knob sub-assembly for manual transaxle, upper instrument panel sub-assembly, glove compartment door assembly, combination meter assembly and the instrument cluster finish panel assembly and instrument cluster finish lower panel and instrument cluster finish center panel sub-assembly. Before attaching the front pillar garnish both right and left sides the front door opening trim Weather Strips should be installed right and left. To complete the procedure connect the cable to the negative battery terminal while applying force at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) and check the SRS warning light.
