2009 Scion xB A/C Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to operate the A/C Switch effectively on 2009 Scion xB?
A: The first step to remove the air conditioning panel involves checking the table of bolt, screw, and nut specifications. Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable then wait at least 90 seconds before resuming work to avoid Air Bag discharge. Start by disconnecting the Weather Strip from along the front door opening on both right and left sides before taking off the front pillar garnish from both sides. The instrument cluster finish center panel sub-assembly along with the instrument cluster finish lower panel and the instrument cluster finish panel assembly should be removed. The technician should detach the combination meter assembly together with glove compartment door assembly and upper instrument panel sub-assembly. Manual transaxle vehicles need the shift lever knob sub-assembly removal together with the instrument cluster finish center lower panel uninstallation. Air conditioning panel disassembly requires disconnecting 3 clips and 2 claws while separating 3 connectors and the clamp and freeing up the No. 2 heater control cable sub-assembly by removing 2 claws. The final task requires detachment of the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly by releasing its two claws.
