The transmission control cable assembly requires disconnection through the removal of its nut from the control shaft lever followed by disconnecting the cable from the lever and removing its clip from the bracket. Begin by disconnecting the switch connector and then unscrew the nuts and washers followed by the control shaft lever before prying up the lock plate to release the nut and lock plate. To complete the removal use the two bolts for pulling out the position switch.
