Users must elevate the rear wiper blade to a designated position to avert sound clicking while disengaging the claw mesh. They must avoid destroying the claw while doing so. Wipe the rear wiper blade directly and to the left while watching for rear wiper arm damage that could yield windshield surface problems. The end of rear wiper rubber sticking out from its blade stopper should be moved carefully to dislodge the rubber without forcing deformation of backing plates or damaging the blade claw. Moving the rubber in an end-to-middle direction helps accomplish this task more easily. To finish the procedure detach both wiper rubber backing plates from the wiper rubber.
