The first step of servicing the hatchback rear wiper rubber requires removing the wiper blade assembly after raising the blade until it releases from the claw with a clicking sound but avoiding damage to the claw. Methodically move the rear wiper blade horizontally across and downward from the wiper arm toward the left side of the vehicle while protecting the arm from bends which might cause windshield fractures. Proceed to remove the rear wiper rubber by carefully pulling the side loosed from the blade stopper while avoiding forceful actions which may deform backing plates and hurt the blade claw; the end should be pushed toward the middle for better rubber access. You should remove the 2 wiper rubber backing plates which are attached to the wiper rubber. First install the 2 backing plates onto the wiper rubber while keeping them oriented correctly. Slide the rear wiper rubber through the claw position located at the middle of the rear blade until it reaches the end where it will extend beyond the rear end stopper. Reinsert the material through the front claw. Install the rear wiper blade assembly by connecting the claw which maintains the wiper blade secure.

Pull the rear wiper blade straight away from the wiper arm toward the left side of the vehicle, taking care not to bend the rear wiper arm, as this could damage the windshield surface.
