2009 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to install the windshield Washer Pump assembly on 2009 Toyota Yaris?
A: Position the windshield washer motor and pump assembly onto the washer jar packing as the first step for installation. Begin by securing the windshield washer jar that includes the washer level warning switch using 2 bolts torqued to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) together with attachment of the 2 connectors and 2 harness clamps. A single connector must be connected after the windshield washer motor and pump assembly bolts receive equal torque while the 2 harness clamps are secured. Add washer fluid to the washer jar and pump assembly through the connection of washer hose to the washer motor and pump. Begin by fitting the headlight assembly on the right side along with the front bumper cover and the front spoiler cover when present. After securing the cable to the negative side of the battery use 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) torque.
