2008 Toyota Yaris Washer Pump Parts Q&A
Q: How to service and repair the washer pump for a sedan on 2008 Toyota Yaris?
A: A technician must begin the windshield washer motor repair by detaching the negative battery terminal cable. Start by taking out the front spoiler cover followed by removing the front bumper cover. The right headlight assembly must be detached next. The draining operation requires the removal of the washer hose installation from the windscreen motor pump assembly. When replacing the windshield washer jar assembly the installation requires removing two bolts and the jar and disconnecting two connectors and two harness clamps if the assembly includes a washer level warning switch. The polyvitere jar requires disconnecting both harness clamps and connectors before removing its two bolts to separate the jar. To finish the disassembly disconnect the windshield washer motor and pump assembly by pulling it out from the washer jar bundle.
