How to remove the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2009 Toyota Venza?

The removal process for Engine Control Module (ECM) starts with windshield wiper motor disconnection followed by removal of outer cowl top panel sub-assembly and cool air intake duct seal and No.1 engine cover sub-assembly. Start by discarding the cool air intake duct seal followed by the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly. Separate the cable from the negative terminal while keeping records about initialization procedures after reconnecting. Start by taking out the vacuum switching valve assembly from number 1 position along with the cap subassembly of the air cleaner followed by the air cleaner filter elements subassembly and the air cleaner case subassembly. Unfasten the air cleaner bracket through removal of its two bolts. To disconnect the 2 ECM connectors separate the 3 wire harness clamps and raise the 2 levers by pushing the locks on the levers while taking care to prevent foreign material from coming in contact with the connectors. You must detach the ECM with bracket by removing 3 bolts first before uninstalling the 5 screws on the bracket.
