The Engine Control Module (ECM) installation requires 5 screws that secure its bracket before using 3 bolt attachments with 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) tightening force. Unite the ECM connectors and verify the two levers are completely down before taking steps to avoid letting foreign substances enter the connection. Install 3 wire harness clamps as the next step of assembly. The air cleaner bracket requires two bolts that need to be tightened to 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 in-lbf). The technician should install the air cleaner case sub-assembly first followed by the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly and then the air cleaner cap sub-assembly. The installer needs to delete No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly before mounting both the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly and the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly. First connect the windshield wiper motor system and its link before adding the cool air intake duct seal. Check if initialization is needed after cable connection to the negative terminal before ending the procedure. The procedure for registration requires users to enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) into the new ECM.

Separate the 3 wire harness clamps, raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers to disconnect the 2 ECM connectors, ensuring no dirt or foreign matter contacts the connectors.
