How to remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2009 Toyota Tacoma?

Start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal of the battery as the first step for Crankshaft Position Sensor removal. 4WD and Pre-Runner models require removal of the Engine Under Cover Sub-Assembly No.1 during the next step of the procedure. First separate the compressor from the magnetic clutch when working with air conditioning then remove the Fan & Generator V Belt. Proceed by unfastening the 5 bolts from the Idle Pulley Assembly with Bracket (with air conditioning) then extract this assembly. The crankshaft position sensor removal process requires disconnecting its connector along with the 2 wire harness clamps before removing the bolt to extract the sensor.
