2009 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and replace the starter motor on 2009 Toyota Sienna?
A: The process of removing and installing the starter motor for the 2GR-FE engine requires you to start by disconnecting the battery. The next step involves removing the No. 2 air cleaner inlet followed by the air cleaner cap sub-assembly then the air cleaner filter element before taking off the air cleaner case sub-assembly. Secondly remove the air cleaner bracket through bolt removal of two fasteners. The starter motor procedure begins with removing the bolt which secures the No. 1 air cleaner inlet. The starting process ends by disconnecting the starter connector and opening the terminal cap to detach the nut and start wire. Use the same step to remove the two bolts securing the starter assembly.
