2009 Toyota Land Cruiser Seat Belt Parts Q&A
Q: How to Remove a Seat Belt Assembly on 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Before removing the front seat outer belt assembly it is necessary to disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal and wait more than 90 seconds to disable the SRS system. Start your procedure by taking off the front door scuff plate together with the rear step cover as well as the rear door scuff plate and center pillar garnish cover. Move the front seat to the upright position by connecting the negative terminal cable before disconnecting it to remove the center lower pillar garnish. To configure the LH side dismantling disconnect the bolt and seat belt anchor but for the RH side remove the bolt after disengaging the seat belt anchor then disconnect its connector. Two claws along with seven clips need removal procedures to detach the center lower pillar garnish. The service technician should start by disassembling the rear assist grip assembly and the center pillar garnish. First disconnect the front seat belts assembly by removing the nut together with the shoulder anchor then separating connector A (pretensioner) and connector B (tension reducer). A pre-collision connector C must be disassembled if present. To finish the installation process remove the bolt then the seat belt and afterward take out the 2 bolts and anchor plate from the front shoulder belt anchor plate sub-assembly.
