A: Examine that left and right flexible brake hoses cannot be confused with each other by double-checking the part numbers. Connect used hoses only when you verify their disconnection tags first. To connect the rear flexible hose towards the disc brake cylinder assembly start by using a union bolt combined with a new gasket. Tighten this assembly to 33 Nm (336 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf). The rear flexible hose needs to be attached to the bracket through a new clip which must be positioned at the maximum installation point. You must use a 10 mm union nut wrench to connect the brake line to front brake flexible hose yet you need to use a wrench to maintain flexible hose stability during this operation; if you lack a union nut wrench you should torque the components to 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm or 11 ft-lbf) or apply 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm or 10 ft-lbf) if using one. Download the brake line carefully without causing bending or damage while making sure no foreign substances can penetrate the tube. The torque application process requires a torque wrench with 250 mm (9.84 in.) fulcrum length where the union nut wrench remains parallel to its fitting on the torque wrench. The rear flexible hose must be installed to the absorber bracket by using a bolt with a torque setting of 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). Installation ends with filling the brake fluid reservoir followed by bleeding the brake line and actuator and leakage inspection before checking the fluid level and installing the rear wheel at 103 Nm torque (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).
