2009 Toyota Corolla Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to install the front speed sensor for TMC Made on 2009 Toyota Corolla?
A: For TMC Made front speed sensor installation use an 8.5 Nm bolt force (87 kgf-cm, 76 in-lbf) while keeping the sensor tip clean and avoid modifying the sensor hole or surface area to maintain the needed space between the magnet rotor and speed sensor. Place the sensor clamp number one on the shock absorber temporarily before securing the flexible brake hose proudly with a 29 Nm bolt while keeping the wire harness straight and properly positioning the sensor on top of the hose. The No. 2 sensor clamp needs an 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) bolt to fasten it onto the body. Next, the front speed sensor wire harness should get its clamp before fitting in the speed sensor connector. Install the parts for TMMC and NUMMI Made products using these steps like earlier products. Place the front fender liner then put on the side mudguard while making sure to apply 103 Nm of torque when fixing the front wheel. Reattach the negative battery terminal and test the speed sensor output.
