    Q:
How to install a Speed Sensor for skid control on Scion tC? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before installing the skid control sensor start by cleaning all sealing substance from the fitting point with white gasoline while watching for any foreign particles to stay off the sensor rotor. Attach the new skid control sensor to the assembly of the rear axle hub with bearing assembly while placing the connector at its base and facing downward. Position the narrow side of the assembly towards the bottom. Using the Special Service Tool: 09214-76011 and a press tool, users should carefully flatten the skid control sensor against the rear axle hub and bearing assembly without using a hammer but while ensuring the detection portion remains free from iron chips during straight pressing. Start by installing the rear axle hub and bearing as the first step followed by the rear disc component before installing the rear disc brake cylinder mounting with its rear disc brake cylinder assembly. The skid control sensor wire needs connection followed by rear wheel installation while torquing it to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf). When disconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal users need to know some systems require initialization following reconnection. You must verify proper speed sensor signal operation as the last step.

    Q:
How to service and repair the front wheel speed sensor on Toyota Camry? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service and repair of the front wheel speed sensor requires step one to remove the front wheel followed by front wheel opening extension pad LH and front fender liner. After disconnecting the front speed sensor connector and clamp users must remove the two body and shock absorber securing bolts. They should then disengage the two steering knuckle and body claws before taking out the bolt with front speed sensor. Users must always prevent foreign matter from sticking to sensor tips when performing removals and clean the installation hole and surface. install the front speed sensor after securing it with the bolt by tightening it to a torque of 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf) while keeping the sensor tip free from any foreign matter. Fish the front speed sensor into its place using two bolts that engage two claws before tightening Bolt A to 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) and Bol B to 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) while being cautious about wire harness twist during the process. The front speed sensor installation process begins with connecting its connector and clamp followed by reinstallation of front fender liner and front wheel opening extension pad LH together with the front wheel. Ensure you torque the wheel to 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf). Inspect the speed sensor signal as the last step.

    Q:
How to remove the rear wheel speed sensor on Scion xB? Posted by Customer
    A:
A technician must start the process by disconnecting the negative battery cable terminal. Approach the task by removing both the rear wheel component and the upper console panel sub-assembly. The first step includes tightening the wire adjusting nut then taking off the rear floor side member cover. The first step requires separation of the parking brake cable assembly from the rear disc brake caliper assembly. After disc removal proceed with the task. Use a screwdriver to separate the claw from the speed sensor wire then disconnect its connector because removing only the connector will help prevent speed sensor wire damage. The last step requires removal of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

    Q:
How to install the speed sensor for the U250E automatic transaxle on Toyota Camry? Posted by Customer
    A:
The speed sensor installation for U250E automatic transaxle requires an ATF-coated O-ring to be positioned at the speed sensor before securing it with a bolt to 8.8 Nm (90 kgf-cm, 78 in-lbf) torque and connecting the speed sensor connector. Reinstall the NT sensor by preparing the O-ring with ATF followed by proper installation and application of 8.8 Nm (90 kgf-cm, 78 in-lbf) torque. The air cleaner components must be installed in the following order: air cleaner case sub-assembly, air cleaner cap sub-assembly, air cleaner inlet assembly and battery installation. Place the cable on the negative battery terminal then tighten it to 6.9 Nm (70 kgf-cm, 61 in-lbf).

    Q:
How to remove the front wheel speed sensor on the LH side on Scion tC? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the front wheel speed sensor LH removal process by disconnecting the negative cable from the battery before waiting 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag pretensioners and seat belts from activating. Item initialization procedures exist for systems which encounter cable connection. First disconnect the front wheel along with the front fender liner on the left-hand side. The front speed sensor LH needs its clamp detached and connector disconnected before removing the bolts to detach it from the body structure. To complete the procedure remove both the bolt and speed sensor after keeping both the sensor tip and installation hole clean from any foreign matter.

    Q:
How to remove the rear speed sensor on Toyota Matrix? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before uninstalling the rear speed sensor for 4WD you should detach the negative battery cable first. Unfasten the rear seat with its cushion and rear seat headrests on either side to reveal both covers for the rear seatback hinge. You need to first remove the rear seatbacks for both sides and then the rear door scuff plates and Weather Strips from both sides. To access all sub-assemblies you have to take off the rear seatback hinges and side garnishes from both ends. Take 3 bolts off the fuel tank filler pipe protector to disconnect the rear wheel before moving on. To take off the rear speed sensor LH you should detach the sensor connector and grommet from the wheel well then remove bolt A for sensor clamp 3 while pulling the sensor away from the breather clamp. Now remove bolt B to split sensor clamp 2 from the suspension member and detach the nut after that to remove sensor clamp 1 from the upper arm. Finally use bolt C to end the body of the rear speed sensor from the rear axle carrier. Follow this process again for the right-hand rear sensor to maintain cleanliness of its tip and opening space.

    Q:
How to service the front wheel speed sensor on Toyota Solara? Posted by Customer
    A:
The speed sensor service starts with taking off both the front wheel and front fender liner from the left-hand side of the vehicle. The speed sensor connector and clamp need unfastening before you remove the two clamp bolts that separate the speed sensor harness from its connections to the body and shock absorber. Uninstall the bolt holding the speed sensor front LH component while ensuring no foreign elements reach the sensor's end. The speed sensor front LH installation requires using a bolt with 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf) torque then re-examine the tip of the sensor for foreign matter attachment. Fasten sensor harness clamps to their respective positions with Bolt A at 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) and Bolt B at 19 N.m (192 kgf.cm, 14 in.lbf). Following this, attach the clamp to the knuckle with the speed sensor connector and clamp. The left-hand side front fender liner and front wheel must be reinstalled with 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm) torque while securing the wheel at 76 ft.lbf. The ABS speed sensor signal must be verified as the last step.
